The Lubavitcher Rebbe revealed in 1991/92 that all the necessary prerequisites for the coming of moshiach have been accomplished. Through the years of our exile the essence of G-d was fully brought into the world through Torah and Mitzvos. Now we are on the final task. The task to reveal the essence. This will be accomplished in our generation by the Jewish people.

The Rebbe explained that normally we discuss Ahavas Yisroel in terms of being m'sakain, (fixing) the sin of baseless hatred which caused the Bais Hamikdosh to be destroyed. However the Rebbe asserted that we have fulfilled enough ahavas Yisroel over the generations to be msakin, fix that breach. The reason for Ahavas Yisroel today he explained , is because of the essence. The essential truth that all Jews are one being. If we look at each other in this way we are fulfilling ahavas yisroel as it will be when moshiach is revealed , thus hastening his arrival!

The Tzemach Tzedek brings to life the fact that all Jews stem from the one original soul of Adam. We each represent a certain branch of a specific organ of that first man. The Gedolim of the generation represent the brain, while others are the hands, some are the feet, etc. The soul's source is in the brain. Even though that one soul of Adam has branched off into multiple sparks (all the Jews), those sparks still remain connected through their mutual source in the brain. The veins that run through the body connect each organ's vitality to every other organ, thus causing each one to contain an element of vitality that connects to every other one. What's the point??? In essence this means that one Jew is composed of elements of every other Jew that exists. We are ALL intricately connected. If one Jew hates (G-d forbid) another Jew, we are basically cutting off the connection that this Jew represents within us, thus causing not only a blemish in ourself...but in the whole unified structure of the one soul. The Tzemach Tzedek says this makes our davening (which is supposed to replace sacrifices) as if we brought a blemished offering. He says this is why the Arizal would verbalize the specific sins stated in the Tachanun confessional, even though we know the Arizal was a complete Tzaddik. He was trying to rectify the blemish of the one soul & the Jews connected to him. If we really meditate on this reality before we start to say or do something hateful towards another Jew, we will think about just what Rabbi Yissochar Frand said in a marvelous video..."Is it really worth not having the Bet Hamikdash?"
